Operational Space Weather Tool
SPENVIS is an operational space weather tool of the European Space Agency (ESA), developed and maintained by BIRA-IASB.
Consisting of a web interface, it is used by engineers in defining space missions and designing space instruments. It allows an initial analysis of problems associated with the space environment and its effects.
Martian Radiation Environment Models
MarsREM (Martian Radiation Environment Models) is an ESA-funded project undertaken by QinetiQ in collaboration with LIP, BIRA-IASB and SpaceIT.
Goal is to create an accurate and user-friendly tool to predict the radiation environment for the surface/sub-surface conditions or in the atmosphere of Mars, as well as for orbital spacecraft, and Phobos/Deimos landers.
